Even photos of the same item can look cluttered when size and placement vary. Removing backgrounds and aligning subjects and margins helps a group of photos look consistent.
Check the destination size first
Check the destination's required dimensions and file size. For a square, try equal sides such as 1,000 × 1,000 px. Platform requirements can change; example sizes here aren't official specifications. Check current upload instructions.
Compare margins with Nori's sample
- Choose “Try Nori's sample” in Product Photo Studio. The sample has a transparent background.
- Set output to a 1,000 px square with a white background.
- Try 5%, 15% and 25% margins to compare subject size.
- Choose the clearest size and use similar margins for similar photos.
A 15% margin reserves at least that proportion on each edge. Long subjects keep their aspect ratio, so the other direction may have more space.
Inspect background removal first
Check edges and small parts against the checkerboard. Hair, translucent packaging and similar-colored backgrounds can be difficult to separate. Try a higher-contrast photo or turn removal off and adjust size only if needed.
Which file format should I use?
Choose PNG or WebP for transparency. For smaller files, try JPG on white. Converting PNG to JPG makes transparent areas white. Keep the original and open the saved file before uploading to check it.
