Create signatures and stamps as transparent PNGs

Written and checked November 4, 2026 · NORI Tools · English guide

Draw a signature on your phone or make a name stamp, save a transparent PNG and insert it into a document.

A photo of a signature or stamp may include the white paper behind it. Nori’s signature pad and stamp maker save transparent PNGs that are easier to place over documents.

For a handwritten signature

  1. Choose a pen color and width in the signature maker.
  2. Draw with a finger or stylus on mobile, or with a mouse on a PC.
  3. Undo removes a mistaken stroke.
  4. On mobile, choose Finish drawing to release the scroll lock when done.
  5. Check the result with Prepare transparent PNG, then choose Save PNG.

Turn on Trim empty space around signature to reduce the outer margins. The checkerboard and guides in the preview are not saved.

For a name stamp or seal image

Free stamp maker lets you choose a shape and enter a name or phrase. Adjust fonts, size and spacing for oval name stamps and square seals. For square seals, compare automatic wrapping with manual lines and check that text stays inside the border.

Add the image to a document

In Nori Quotation / Statement, choose Change stamp to attach the PNG. In other editors, use Insert image. Enlarging too much may blur the lines, so check at the final print size.

If transparency looks black

Some image viewers display transparent areas as black or white. Place the PNG over a light document to check whether a background is actually present. Converting PNG to JPG removes transparency.

If saving on mobile does not work

In-app browsers may save files differently. Check the saving help or reopen in Chrome or Safari. Signatures are not autosaved, so confirm the file is saved before closing the page.

What this tool does

This tool creates signature and stamp images. It does not verify identity or certify electronic signatures. Only use names and images you are authorized to use on real documents.
